THE NORTH SEA
Fall / Winter 22
The North Sea fishermen are my inspiration this season. I admire these hardy and stoical seamen who work wet and cold, braving icy storms and hauling heavy nets to provide us with humble herring and cod. Such beauty surrounds them: the shimmering fish, the metallic cast of sky and sea melded together, the occasional blue skies and the bright colors of the slickers… These are reflected in the hats to which I've added elements of comfort to help them buffer us against the turmoils of life.
