Both the crown and the brim are made of raffia. The bucket crown is crocheted to let air circulate. The large brim, made of braid that is zigzag-stitched edge to edge, is in a denser texture to insure good sun protection. Totally flexible, the hat packs well for travel and will look equally cool in town or at the beach.
